Shi(f)t Happens

A one-woman show about loss, survival, and finding your way back to yourself — when everything falls apart, and music becomes the way through.

Màirín is currently developing SHI(f)T HAPPENS — an interdisciplinary one-woman show weaving together songwriting, spoken word, theatre, sound, and visual art.

Part performance, part reflection, the work explores grief, identity, fracture, visibility, memory, and transformation through autobiographical stories, original songs, and atmospheric imagery.

The project continues to evolve through live performance, visual art, songwriting, and creative development.

Under the name Màirín, Maureen Malcolm-Gourley creates interdisciplinary work exploring grief, identity, memory, visibility, and transformation through songwriting, spoken word, theatre, sound, and visual art.

Drawing on lived experience and autobiographical storytelling, the work creates reflective spaces that invite audiences to reconnect with themselves and each other.

If you’d like to collaborate, book a performance, or find out more, I’d love to hear from you.
